Gameplan

Cast The Peregrine Dynamo turn 3 and use its haste to start copying powerful activated and triggered abilities from your legendary permanents, effectively doubling planeswalker activations, legendary creature ETBs/attack triggers, and artifact/Saga abilities. You build a board of impactful legendaries, then chain copies to snowball value and resources until you assemble a lethal or game-locking engine.

Strengths

  • Colorless commander fits any deck and any artifact ramp shell, making it splashable and consistent
  • Doubles a huge range of abilities — planeswalker loyalty activations, legendary ETB/attack triggers, Saga chapters, and artifact taps
  • Cheap to cast (3 MV) with haste, so it comes online immediately

Weaknesses

  • Dies to any removal and has no protection of its own, halting the whole engine
  • Requires a critical mass of legendary sources to do anything — weak in a vacuum

  • Can't copy commanders' abilities or mana abilities, narrowing the targets
