The Commander
Flying
Whenever Ultima attacks, put a blight counter on target land. For as long as that land has a blight counter on it, it loses all land types and abilities and has ": Add

Guide
Gameplan
Cast Ultima off colorless ramp, then swing in the air to strip key lands of their abilities while pumping out doubled colorless mana from every land you tap for . Use that mana flood to slam colossal Eldrazi and artifact bombs, taxing your opponents' fixing while you accelerate toward overwhelming threats.
Strengths
- Built-in mana doubling on every land tapped for
, enabling explosive Eldrazi-sized plays
- Soft land-disruption on attack that hits opponents' fixing and utility lands
- Colorless identity dodges most color-hosers and gives access to powerful Eldrazi and artifact payoffs
- Evasive flying body keeps the attack trigger online
Weaknesses
- Colorless-only deckbuilding severely limits card pool, removal, and interaction
- No way to draw cards, ramp interaction, or recover from a board wipe within its own color
- Mana doubling only applies to
, so it doesn't help fix or pay generic costs from colored sources
- Relies on attacking to disrupt, which is slow and leaves Ultima exposed
- Vulnerable to colorless-agnostic removal with no protection built in
Key Cards
- Eldrazi Monument — Turns your board indestructible and flying, weaponizing the colorless beaters you ramp into.
- Kozilek, the Great Distortion — Refills your hand and provides a colossal payoff for all the doubled colorless mana.
- Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger — Top-end Eldrazi that exiles permanents on cast and mills out opponents in combat.
- Caged Sun — Stacks even more colorless mana on top of Ultima's doubling effect for absurd ramp.
- Endless Atlas — One of the few colorless card-advantage engines available to this restricted color identity.
- Cloudpost — Locus lands plus Ultima's doubler create explosive colorless mana spikes.
Upgrade Path
Lean into the best colorless ramp (Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, Thran Dynamo, Grim Monolith) and Locus lands to maximize the doubler, then add free interaction like Karn, the Great Creator and Walking Ballista for board control. Tighten the curve so doubled mana converts into game-ending Eldrazi a turn earlier, and include Eye of Ugin and Eldrazi Temple to make those casts trivial. Cap it with All Is Dust and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon as one-sided sweepers that leave your colorless army intact.
