What it does

Battle Cry is a triggered ability that fires whenever the creature attacks. When it does, each other attacking creature gets +1/+0 until end of turn. So a single Battle Cry creature pumps all your other attackers, and multiple Battle Cry creatures stack—each one boosts every other attacker, leading to big swings in wide boards. The key nuance: Battle Cry never boosts itself, only your other attackers. It also triggers on attack, not on combat damage, so the pump applies even if the creature is blocked or removed afterward. The bonus is +1/+0, meaning toughness isn't affected—your attackers don't survive better, they just hit harder. In Commander, Battle Cry shines in go-wide token or aggressive strategies. With many small attackers, even one Battle Cry creature meaningfully scales your damage output across a swarming board.
