Chef's Knife

What it does

Chef's Knife isn't a keyword ability—it's a specific Equipment artifact card. When equipped, it gives the creature +1/+1 and an activated ability that lets you sacrifice the Knife to draw a card. It's a low-cost utility piece that turns into card advantage once it's done its job. The nuance people miss: sacrificing the Knife isn't the same as it being destroyed, so it dodges destruction-based removal timing—you can sac it in response to removal to still get your card. Also, the equip cost and the sacrifice ability are separate; you only need it attached to give the buff, but you can sac it whether equipped or not. In Commander, it's a flexible inclusion in artifact or equipment decks: early aggression help that cashes in for a card later, and it synergizes with sacrifice payoffs and artifact recursion.
