What it does

Fuse appears on split cards (cards with two halves separated by a slash). Normally a split card lets you cast only one half. With Fuse, when you cast the card from your hand, you may choose to cast both halves together as a single spell, paying both mana costs. The key nuance: Fuse only works from your hand. If you cast a Fuse split card from anywhere else—graveyard, exile, off the top of your library—you can only cast one half, not both. Also, when you fuse, you pick all targets at once, but the halves resolve as one spell, so if one half is countered or its targets become illegal, the other half still resolves. In Commander, Fuse cards offer flexible two-for-one value. They're great with cast-from-hand synergies, and remember each half's color contributes to your color identity, so a Fuse card counts both colors regardless of how you play it.
