What it does

Pack tactics is an ability that checks whether you're attacking with enough creatures to trigger a bonus effect. Specifically, it works "whenever a creature with pack tactics attacks, if you attacked with creatures with total power 6 or greater this combat," you get the listed reward (often a buff, card draw, or token). Think of it as a payoff for committing to an aggressive, go-wide attack. The key nuance: the total power threshold counts all attacking creatures' combined power, not just the pack tactics creature alone, and it's measured as they're declared as attackers. The condition is checked at the moment the trigger would go on the stack—if you don't meet 6 total power, it simply doesn't trigger. In Commander, where players often build wide boards, hitting 6 power is usually easy, making pack tactics reliably online. It rewards proactive, board-developing strategies over durdling, though removal-heavy pods can punish overcommitting.
