Lands you control have ": Add one mana of any color."
: Add one mana of any color.
Chromatic Lantern is the gold standard for fixing in greedy multicolor decks. By turning every land into a Rainbow tap-land, it single-handedly solves color screw — your basics, utility lands, and even off-color duals all produce whatever you need. The built-in mana rock on top means it's never a dead draw even when your fixing is already fine.
It shines brightest in 4- and 5-color decks (Niv-Mizzet, Reborn; Jodah; Najeela; Sliver decks) and in 3-color builds packed with double- and triple-pipped cards. If you constantly struggle to cast WUBRG-hungry spells, this is your fix.
Two cautions: it's an enchantment-effect that "Naturalize" or a Vandalblast can blow up, taking your whole mana base down with it — so don't lean on it as your only fixing in cEDH or stax-heavy pods. And in two-color or mono-color decks it's just a slow, overpriced rock; you want Signets, Talismans, or Arcane Signet instead.
Play it when your problem is colors, not ramp.
