Why is this card good?

Smothering Tithe is one of white's best ramp payoffs and a top-tier staple for a reason. In a four-player game, opponents draw constantly — every draw step, every cantrip, every wheel. That's a flood of Treasures heading your way, accelerating you well ahead of curve while fixing colors that mono-white historically struggles with. The card punishes opponents either way: they bleed mana paying the {2} tax, or they hand you ramp. It's especially absurd alongside group draw effects or wheels like Windfall and Wheel of Fortune — you can generate a dozen-plus Treasures in a single cast. Wants it: any white deck, full stop. Token strategies, big-mana ramp, artifact/Treasure synergy decks (Treasures fuel sacrifice and cast triggers), and stax/control shells that love the tax angle. When NOT to play it: it's flagged as a Game Changer, so skip it in lower-bracket/casual pods. Also note it does nothing the turn it resolves and is a magnet for removal — but it's almost always worth playing anyway.
