What it does
A Treasure is a colorless artifact token with the ability "Tap, sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color." It's essentially a one-shot mana rock that lets you fix colors or ramp a turn ahead, then disappears once used. Lots of cards, especially in red and recent sets, generate Treasures.
The most common misunderstanding: Treasure isn't a keyword, it's a predefined token type, and you must sacrifice it to get the mana—you can't keep tapping it. Also note it's an artifact, so it triggers and enables artifact synergies (Improvise, affinity, sacrifice payoffs, magecraft-style fodder) before it's consumed.
In Commander, Treasures are huge for casting expensive commanders early, splashing off-color spells, and fueling combos. Watch for graveyard/artifact recursion and synergies like Mayhem Devil or Reckless Fireweaver that profit when Treasures are sacrificed.
