Whenever you attack, double the number of each kind of counter on each Spider and legendary creature you control.
Guide
Gameplan
Cast Miles Morales for 2, drop counters on your team, then flip into Ultimate Spider-Man (a 4/4 with first strike/haste) and start swinging. Once flipped, every attack doubles all counters on your Spiders and legendary creatures, so you build a counter engine and snowball commander damage or a wide board into lethal swings in a single combat.
Strengths
- Cheap two-mana commander that immediately impacts the board with counters
- Counter-doubling on attack scales exponentially and can create one-shot kills
- Camouflage gives the flipped side hexproof, protecting your win engine from removal
- Naya colors offer the deepest +1/+1 counter and go-wide support in the format
Weaknesses
- Needs to flip (a 6-mana sorcery-speed activation) before the engine comes online
- Doubling does nothing if Ultimate Spider-Man is removed before combat or with counters wiped
- Vulnerable to board wipes that erase your counter investment
- Relies on connecting in combat, so fogs, blockers, and pillow-fort effects slow it down
Key Cards
- Hardened Scales — Multiplies every counter you place, accelerating how fast the doubling engine snowballs.
- Doubling Season — Doubles counters as they enter, stacking massively with the attack-trigger doubling.
- The Ozolith — Banks all your counters through board wipes so removal on your team doesn't reset the engine.
- Branching Evolution — Another counter doubler that compounds with Miles's attack trigger for explosive growth.
- Trample enablers like Rancor — Ensures your enormous counter-laden attackers convert into actual damage through chump blockers.
- Inkshield — Protects your board and punishes attackers, buying time to set up the flip and swing.
Upgrade Path
Add more counter doublers (Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Doubling Season) and protection like Heroic Intervention and The Ozolith to insulate the engine from wraths. Prioritize trample, evasion, and extra-combat effects (Aggravated Assault, Combat Celebrant) so each doubling actually closes the game. Tighten the mana base with fast Naya fixing and cheap ramp to flip Miles ahead of schedule.

Win Conditions
- ▸One-shot commander damage after a few attack-trigger doublings on Ultimate Spider-Man
- ▸Wide board of counter-pumped creatures swinging for massive combat damage
- ▸Trample plus doubled counters pushing lethal through chump blockers
- ▸Counter-based finishers like a huge overrun-fueled alpha strike
Archetypes
- +1/+1 Counters — His ETB and attack-doubling trigger are pure counter payoffs that beg for counter synergies.
- Voltron — Doubling counters on legendary creatures each attack turns your commander into a fast lethal threat.
- Go-Wide Aggro — Counter all your creatures, especially Spiders and legends, then double them across a wide board.
- Tribal Spiders — The attack trigger specifically rewards a Spider subtheme with stacked counters.
