Why is this card good?

Deadly Dispute is one of the best sacrifice payoffs in black, full stop. For just {1}{B} you draw two cards and get a Treasure, meaning the spell nearly refunds its own mana while replacing the sacrificed permanent and then some. That's an absurd rate. The card thrives anywhere you have fodder to sacrifice. Aristocrats decks (Meren, Korvold, Teval) love it because the sacrifice triggers death payoffs while you're already drawing cards. Treasure/artifact decks pump out tokens specifically to feed it, and it fixes mana for splashy multicolor commanders. It's also a clean response to spot removal — sac the targeted creature in response and turn it into value. Best with cheap, expendable bodies: tokens, Treasures, food, clue tokens, or creatures with recursion. When not to play it: decks with no reliable fodder, where you'd be sacrificing real cards at a loss. If your only target is a bomb, it's a feel-bad. But in any sac-friendly black deck, it's near-auto-include.
