The Commander

You may look at the top card of your library any time.

You may cast Cleric, Rogue, Warrior, and Wizard spells from the top of your library.

At the beginning of combat on your turn, if you have a full party, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control and those creatures gain deathtouch until end of turn.

Guide

Gameplan

Assemble a full party (Cleric, Rogue, Warrior, Wizard) as fast as possible, then crash in with an anthem of +1/+1 counters and deathtouch every combat. Nalia turns your top card into extra castable spells from the four party classes, generating relentless card advantage while a wide board pressures the table.

Strengths

  • Repeatable team-wide buff plus deathtouch makes combat nightmarish for blockers and enables profitable attacks every turn
  • Built-in card advantage by casting class spells off the top of your library
  • Cheap three-mana commander that comes down early and is hard to ignore
  • Deathtouch on a counter-boosted board punishes any block and deters retaliation

Weaknesses

  • Reliant on maintaining a full party; board wipes reset both your party and your counter payoff
  • Off-class spells (non-party creatures, most noncreature cards) can't be cast off the top, limiting the advantage engine
  • No evasion baked in—wide deathtouch boards can stall against fliers or go-wide tokens that chump trade
  • Sweepers and targeted removal on key party members shut off the combat trigger entirely

Key Cards

  • SkullclampTurns expendable party tokens and creatures into a card-draw engine that refills your board.
  • Coppercoat VanguardProtects your party members from targeted removal so your full-party trigger stays online.
  • Cloudstone CurioRecurs party creatures to rebuild quickly after wipes and reuse enters-the-battlefield effects.
  • Krenko's CommandCheap token generators help go wide so the counter anthem snowballs into lethal damage.
  • Brave the SandsVigilance and double-block let your deathtouch board attack and defend simultaneously.
  • ReconnaissanceLets attackers deal deathtouch damage then pull back, dominating combat math.

Upgrade Path

Add fast mana and tutors (Sol Ring, Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor) to assemble the party reliably, and lean into proliferate effects (Evolution Sage, Inkmoth-style enablers) to stack counters faster. Include protection and recursion (Teferi's Protection, Boromir, Cloudstone Curio) so a board wipe doesn't end your engine, and consider an aristocrats package with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Skullclamp for an inevitable closeout.
