If an opponent would mill one or more cards, they mill twice that many cards instead. (To mill a card, a player puts the top card of their library into their graveyard.)
Bruvac doubles all mill your opponents take, turning modest mill effects into lethal library depletion. Set up the board with ramp and protection, then deploy a mill engine that suddenly mills entire libraries when Bruvac is out. You win by decking everyone out, often in a single explosive turn.
Mono-blue gives access to the best counterspells, card draw, and protection in the format
Wins without needing combat or to reduce opponents' life totals
Can close games out of nowhere once Bruvac plus an X-mill spell land
Highly commander-dependent; removing Bruvac neuters the whole strategy
Mill helps opponents with graveyard recursion, reanimator, and self-mill payoffs
Mono-blue lacks creature removal and struggles against go-wide aggro
Telegraphed plan invites the table to focus you down before you assemble pieces
Kicked, it mills half each library, which Bruvac doubles to a full deck-out per opponent.
Mills half a library, doubled to the entire library, immediately decking a player.
Doubles a single opponent's mill each turn and stacks with Bruvac for quadrupled mill.
Repeatable mill triggered by your card draw, exponentially better with Bruvac out.
X-mill that doubles when cast from graveyard, then doubles again via Bruvac.
Extra turns let you chain mill spells and untap to finish multiple opponents.
Cheap protection to defend Bruvac and your key mill payoff at the critical moment.
