Galadriel of Lothlórien
The Commander
Whenever the Ring tempts you, if you chose a creature other than Galadriel as your Ring-bearer, scry 3.
Whenever you scry, you may reveal the top card of your library. If a land card is revealed this way, put it onto the battlefield tapped.
Guide
Gameplan
Galadriel turns scry triggers into free land drops, letting you ramp explosively while smoothing draws. You chain scry effects, cheat lands into play tapped, and snowball into card advantage and big payoffs while the Ring tempts you each turn for extra scry 3 fuel.
Strengths
- Abundant free ramp from scry plus revealed lands accelerates you ahead of the table
- Scry payoffs combine with the Ring's tempting for consistent, repeatable value
- Deep card selection means you rarely flood or stall
- Low mana value commander that's easy to recast
Weaknesses
- Effectively land ramp only triggers on revealed lands, so it's inconsistent without scry density
- Needs scry sources and Ring temptation to function; do-nothing without enablers
- Vulnerable to land destruction and Stax that punish a land-heavy board
- No innate evasion or protection on the commander itself
Key Cards
- Scroll Rack — Lets you stack lands on top and machine-gun scry triggers to dump them all into play.
- Soothsaying — Repeatable scry on demand turns mana into free land drops every turn.
- Sensei's Divining Top — Cheap, recurring scry/draw engine that feeds Galadriel's reveal trigger constantly.
- Crucible of Worlds — Recurs lands milled or sacrificed and pairs with fetches for endless scry-land synergy.
- Augur of Autumn — Plays lands off the top, doubling down on Galadriel's land-into-play plan.
- Mystic Forge — With Top and scry effects, casts artifacts off the top while fueling reveals.
Upgrade Path
Add more cheap repeatable scry engines (Sensei's Divining Top, Soothsaying, Mystic Speculation) and shuffle-fetch interactions so the reveal trigger fires often. Layer in landfall payoffs (Avenger of Zendikar, Scute Swarm, Lotus Cobra) and Crucible/Ramunap loops to convert ramp into wins, then tighten the mana base with fetchlands and fast mana like Mana Crypt to deploy Galadriel and protect the engine with counterspells.

Archetypes
- Ramp / Lands — Her trigger cheats lands into play, enabling a landfall and big-mana strategy.
- Value Control — Constant scry and card advantage let you durdle, react, and out-resource opponents.
- Combo — Scroll Rack plus fetch shuffles and scry loops set up deterministic land/card engines.
- Landfall — Free tapped lands trigger landfall payoffs repeatedly throughout a turn.
