Gameplan

Merry is a cheap, hasty aggro commander that turns a wide board of legendary creatures into a card-advantage engine. You flood the board with legends (and Voltron up Merry with equipment), then attack each turn to draw multiple cards while beating face. The goal is to out-tempo and out-card the table while applying constant aggression in red-white.

Strengths

  • Two-mana hasty commander that can attack the turn it lands and immediately threaten value.
  • Card draw on attack offsets aggro's usual resource problem, keeping your hand full.
  • First strike when equipped makes Merry a safe, evasive carrier for Voltron-style equipment.
