Gameplan
Bruenor is an equipment Voltron commander: load him (or another creature) with cheap, powerful Equipment to create a massive, evasive threat that one- or two-shots opponents with commander damage. The free equip each turn lets you cheat huge equip costs and re-suit up after removal. You durdle into a board of equipment, then attach and swing for lethal.
Strengths
- Free equip every turn ignores prohibitive equip costs (Argentum Armor, Batterskull, Colossus Hammer).
- +2/+0 per Equipment stacks fast, enabling early commander-damage kills.
- Resilient via redundant equipment and recursion even through commander removal.
- Red/white gives excellent Equipment tutors, protection, and extra-combat support.
Weaknesses
- Heavily commander-dependent; without a creature, your equipment sits inert.
- Vulnerable to board wipes and creature removal that strand your gear.
- No inherent card advantage outside equipment-draw payoffs.
- Pillow-fort and fog effects blunt the all-in attack plan.

Upgrade Path
Add efficient tutors and enablers like Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Open the Armory to consistently find Colossus Hammer plus evasion. Prioritize protection (Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves, Heroic Intervention) and a backup beater so a single removal spell doesn't stall you. Tighten the curve and lean on instant-speed combat tricks like Embercleave and Sigarda's Aid to enable surprise lethal turns.
