Olivia, Crimson Bride
The Commander
Flying, haste
Whenever Olivia attacks, return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped and attacking. It gains "When you don't control a legendary Vampire, exile this creature."
Guide
Gameplan
Cheat big creatures into play for free every combat by attacking with Olivia, building an army of reanimated threats that swing immediately. Fill your graveyard early with discard, dig, and self-mill, then attack on turn six to start reanimating bombs that close the game fast.
Strengths
- Reanimates a creature attacking and tapped every single combat at no mana cost
- Has haste, so she can attack and reanimate the turn she lands
- Flying makes her hard to block and reliable at triggering
- Recurs your best dead creatures repeatedly for explosive, snowballing boards
Weaknesses
- Reanimated creatures are exiled if Olivia or another legendary Vampire dies or leaves play
- Heavily commander-dependent; without her on the battlefield the engine stalls
- Vulnerable to removal, especially during the declare-attackers window
- Six mana and must survive to combat before generating value
- No built-in protection or evasion beyond flying
Key Cards
- Faceless Butcher — Reanimated attacking, it exiles a blocker or threat, and is itself sacrificed-friendly when Olivia leaves.
- Archon of Cruelty — A backbreaking reanimation target whose drain-and-discard trigger fires every time you swing it back.
- Sneak Attack — Another way to cheat huge creatures into play, doubling down on Olivia's free-fatty plan.
- Anje Falkenrath — A legendary Vampire that loots aggressively to fill the yard and provides redundancy so reanimated creatures stay.
- Buried Alive — Tutors three creatures straight to the graveyard to set up Olivia's attack triggers.
- Combat Celebrant — Reanimated and attacking, it grants an extra combat to trigger Olivia again for another reanimation.
Upgrade Path
Add fast mana and ramp (Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Rakdos Signet) to land Olivia ahead of curve, plus protection like Lightning Greaves to shield her at the attack step. Tighten the graveyard package with Entomb, Reanimate, and Animate Dead for redundancy, and lean into multiple legendary Vampires (Anje, Edgar enemies aside) so reanimated bombs stick around even if Olivia is removed.

Win Conditions
- ▸Beating down with a wide board of reanimated attackers and Olivia in the air
- ▸Chaining extra combats with Combat Celebrant or Aggravated Assault for lethal swings
- ▸Reanimating Archon of Cruelty repeatedly to drain the table out
- ▸Aristocrats payoffs like Blood Artist draining life as exiled creatures die
Archetypes
- Reanimator — Her attack trigger is free recursion, making graveyard-fueled fatties the core engine.
- Aristocrats — Since reanimated creatures get exiled anyway, sacrificing them for value before they die is natural.
- Aggro/Voltron — Flying haste plus an evasive attacking army pressures life totals immediately.
- Vampire Tribal — Running multiple legendary Vampires keeps reanimated creatures from being exiled.
