Why is this card good?

Canopy Vista is a workhorse dual for two-color Selesnya decks, and its value comes from those Forest Plains basic land types. Because it counts as both a Forest and a Plains, it can be fetched by Wood Elves, Farseek, Skyshroud Claim, and Three Visits — turning ramp spells into mana-fixers. It also dodges nonbasic hate that only hits "nonbasic" effects... no, but it does enable Bant/GW fetch synergies and triggers landfall reliably. The downside is the conditional tapped clause. In a deck heavy on basics, it usually comes in untapped, but in greedy three-plus color manabases packed with nonbasics, it'll frequently enter tapped, which is a real tempo cost in faster pods. Play it in GW (or any GW-inclusive) decks that run a healthy basic count and lean on fetch-style ramp — tokens, lifegain, +1/+1 counters, landfall. Skip it in high-power decks demanding untapped lands, or manabases so nonbasic-heavy that it can't reliably enter untapped.
