Camellia, the Seedmiser
The Commander
Menace
Other Squirrels you control have menace.
Whenever you sacrifice one or more Foods, create a 1/1 green Squirrel creature token.
, Forage: Put a +1/+1 counter on each other Squirrel you control. (To forage, exile three cards from your graveyard or sacrifice a Food.)
Guide
Gameplan
Build a wide board of Squirrels backed by a steady Food engine, converting sacrificed Foods into more Squirrel tokens while pumping the team with Forage. You grind value across the early game, then close with an evasive (menace) Squirrel swarm or an Aristocrats drain. Food and Squirrels feed each other in a tight, self-perpetuating loop.
Strengths
- Self-sustaining token engine: each Food sac makes a Squirrel, and Forage can be paid by saccing Food
- Innate evasion via menace on the whole Squirrel team makes wide boards hard to block
- Strong synergy with both Food (Cauldron Familiar loops) and graveyard recursion
- Cheap commander that immediately advances the board and survives removal cheaply
Weaknesses
- Board wipes are devastating to a token-centric strategy
- Relies on the commander being on the battlefield for the engine to function
- Forage drains your graveyard, conflicting with reanimation/recursion plans
- Can be slow to close if it lacks a finisher and gets ground down by faster combo decks
Key Cards
- Cauldron Familiar — With Witch's Oven it forms a recurring Food-sac loop that drains opponents and makes endless Squirrels.
- Witch's Oven — Reliable repeatable Food generator that fuels both token-making triggers and Forage costs.
- Chatterfang, Squirrel General — Doubles all your token production and gives the deck a powerful secondary commander/finisher.
- Pitiless Plunderer — Turns sacrifice into Treasure ramp, accelerating Forage activations and your whole engine.
- Squirrel Sovereign — Anthem plus a token-doubler that turns your Squirrel swarm into a real attacking threat.
Upgrade Path
Add fast mana and sac/recursion engines (Pitiless Plunderer, Phyrexian Altar, Ashnod's Altar) to make the Cauldron Familiar loop reliable and explosive. Include drain payoffs (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance) and token doublers (Chatterfang, Doubling Season, Parallel Lives) to weaponize the swarm. Round out with protection like Heroic Intervention and a Craterhoof Behemoth finisher to push past board wipes and close games faster.

Win Conditions
- ▸Alpha strike with a wide menace Squirrel team buffed by Forage and anthems
- ▸Aristocrats drain via Blood Artist/Zulaport Cutthroat off repeated sacrifices
- ▸Cauldron Familiar + Witch's Oven loop draining all opponents
- ▸Overrun-style finisher like Craterhoof Behemoth or Pathway Arrows on a huge board
Archetypes
- Tokens — Camellia continuously generates Squirrels and pumps them, snowballing a go-wide board.
- Aristocrats — The Food sacrifice engine pairs perfectly with sac outlets and drain payoffs like Blood Artist.
- Food — Every Food you sac creates a Squirrel, making Food generators core engine pieces.
- Combo — Cauldron Familiar plus Witch's Oven (and a drain payoff) creates a near-infinite Food/Squirrel loop.
