Flopsie, Bumi's Buddy
The Commander
When Flopsie enters, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
Each creature you control with power 4 or greater can't be blocked by more than one creature.
Guide
Gameplan
Flopsie is a mono-green beatdown commander that dumps fat creatures, pumps your board with a counter wave, and pushes damage through by making your 4+ power threats nearly impossible to gang-block. You ramp into a wide-but-tall board, then alpha strike with creatures that demand single-blocker treatment.
Strengths
- Anthem-style counter dump on entry rewards going wide before casting it
- Evasion-lite ability makes large creatures connect for commander damage and trample value
- Mono-green gives access to the best ramp and the biggest fatties
- Synergizes naturally with +1/+1 counter and trample payoffs
Weaknesses
- Six mana for an effect that does little if your board is empty
- No card advantage or recursion built into the commander
- Vulnerable to board wipes since the strategy is creature-centric
- The 'one blocker' clause does nothing against go-wide token chump defenses if creatures lack trample
- Mono-green struggles with interaction and removal
Key Cards
- Hardened Scales — Multiplies Flopsie's enter-the-battlefield counter wave and all your counter sources.
- Doubling Season — Doubles the counters Flopsie distributes, turning the trigger into a massive board boost.
- Pathbreaker Ibex — Turns your now-bigger creatures into a lethal overrun every combat.
- Rishkar, Peema Renegade — Adds counters and turns them into mana, accelerating your big creatures into play.
- Beastmaster Ascension — Goes online fast with a wide team and makes single-blocked attackers devastating.
- Craterhoof Behemoth — Classic mono-green finisher that converts your evasive board into an instant kill.
Upgrade Path
Lean into counter doublers (Doubling Season, Branching Evolution, Hardened Scales) so the entry trigger snowballs, and add trample enablers (Rancor, Nylea, Return of the Wildspeaker) so the single-blocker clause translates into real damage. Improve ramp with Sol Ring, Nature's Lore, and Cultivate to deploy Flopsie ahead of curve, and round out with overrun finishers and protection like Heroic Intervention to survive wipes.
Core Cards

Win Conditions
- ▸Alpha strike with an overrun effect like Craterhoof Behemoth or Pathbreaker Ibex
- ▸Commander damage from a buffed, hard-to-block Flopsie
- ▸Grinding combat damage from a board of 4+ power creatures that can only be single-blocked
Archetypes
- +1/+1 Counters — Flopsie's entry trigger and 4-power threshold reward stacking counter doublers and payoffs.
- Stompy/Big Creatures — Mono-green ramp into fatties that the commander makes hard to block profitably.
- Tokens/Go-Wide — A full board maximizes the counter dump and creates many single-blocked attackers.
