Whenever you attack, you may discard a card. When you do, put a +1/+1 counter on target attacking creature. It gains trample until end of turn.
Whenever you discard one or more cards, exile the top card of your library. You may play that card until your next end step.
Inti turns every combat into card advantage and pressure: each attack lets you discard a card to pump and trample an attacker, and any discard exiles the top of your library to play for free. Loot aggressively with the discard payoff, then snowball wide or tall boards into lethal mono-red beatdown, churning through your library faster than opponents can answer.
Cheap two-mana commander that generates relentless card advantage in a color starved for it
Discard synergies double as impulse-draw, fueling explosive turns
Trample + counters punish chump blocking and end games quickly
Rebuilds easily after board wipes thanks to constant card flow
Effects are useless without attacking, so removal-heavy or fog-heavy tables slow you down
Mono-red means limited interaction, weak recursion, and no efficient ramp beyond rituals
Needs cards in hand to discard, so empty hands stall the engine
Vulnerable to creature removal on Inti himself, halting the whole loop
Sacrifice outlet to push damage and convert tokens before impulse cards expire.
Add fast mana like Jeska's Will, Mana Geyser, and rituals to dump impulse-drawn cards before they expire. Tighten the curve toward efficient aggressive creatures and repeatable discard outlets (Key to the City, Tibalt's Trickery enablers), and include extra-combat effects like Aggravated Assault or Combat Celebration to multiply Inti triggers. Round out with protection (Lightning Greaves, Heroic Intervention) to keep Inti and your attackers alive through removal.
