Queen Brahne
The Commander
Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)
Whenever Queen Brahne attacks, create a 0/1 black Wizard creature token with "Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this token deals 1 damage to each opponent."
Guide
Gameplan
Queen Brahne is a mono-red spellslinger aggro engine: attack to build a board of 0/1 Wizard tokens, then chain cheap noncreature spells so every Wizard pings each opponent while prowess swells your attackers. You win by combining incidental burn from a wide Wizard army with cantrip-fueled aggression and direct damage.
Strengths
- Each Wizard token turns every noncreature spell into multi-target damage, scaling explosively with token count
- Prowess makes combat threatening even on a developed board, letting cheap spells double as pumps
- Mono-red gives access to the deepest cheap burn, ritual, and impulse-draw pools
- Token bodies give value even against single-target removal and chip in via attacks
Weaknesses
- Needs Brahne to connect first to start the engine; she's a 3-mana attacker vulnerable to removal and blockers
- Board wipes erase your Wizards and reset the whole damage plan
- Card advantage can dry up without dedicated draw, leading to empty hands
- Lifegain decks and high life totals blunt the incremental ping plan in multiplayer
Key Cards
- Young Pyromancer — Doubles your token-generation off the same noncreature spells, deepening the ping army.
- Guttersnipe — Adds 2 damage to each opponent per spell, stacking with every Wizard trigger.
- Monastery Mentor — Builds an even wider prowess-laden board that piggybacks on your spell chains.
- Birgi, God of Storytelling — Refunds mana on each spell cast, enabling long burn chains that maximize Wizard pings.
- Reckless Fireweaver — Punishes the artifact and token generation, adding reliable per-trigger damage to opponents.
- Jeska's Will — Explosive mana plus card advantage to unload a deluge of spells in one turn.
Upgrade Path
Add free or cost-reducing spells (Birgi, Grinning Ignus, Runaway Steam-Kin, Mizzix's Mastery effects) and rituals (Pyretic/Desperate Ritual, Jeska's Will) to enable explosive single-turn ping chains. Prioritize impulse draw (Light Up the Stage, Reckless Impulse, Wheel of Misfortune) to keep spells flowing, and stack damage doublers like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell and Fiery Emancipation to convert pings into lethal bursts.

Win Conditions
- ▸Chaining cheap spells while a wide Wizard board pings all opponents to zero simultaneously
- ▸Prowess-boosted alpha strikes with Brahne and a token swarm

Archetypes
- Spellslinger — Her Wizard tokens reward casting a high density of cheap noncreature spells for repeated damage.
- Tokens — Attacking floods the board with Wizards that multiply each spell's effect.
- Burn/Aggro — Prowess plus token pings turn the deck into a fast, wide direct-damage machine.
- Storm — Mana rituals and free spells let you chain casts so Wizards ping everyone to death in a turn.
