Why is this card good?
Cinder Glade is a premium fixing land for Gruul (and any deck running red-green), and its high EDHREC rank reflects how often it's a near-default include. The big upside: it's both a Mountain and a Forest, so it fetches with Wood Elves, Farseek, Skyshroud Claim, Cultivate-style effects that grab basics, and it counts for landfall and basic-land-matters payoffs.
The conditional untapped clause is genuinely easy to satisfy — most green ramp decks run plenty of basics, so by mid-game it almost always enters untapped. Early, it may come down tapped, which is the only real cost.
Decks that want it: Gruul midrange, big-mana ramp, any two-color or wedge deck with R/G that leans on basic-fetching ramp spells. The dual typing is the selling point over plain duals.
When to skip it: heavy nonbasic manabases (Field of the Dead aside) or decks running zero basics — there the tapped clause becomes a liability with no fetch synergy to justify it.
