Eladamri, Korvecdal
The Commander
You may look at the top card of your library any time.
You may cast creature spells from the top of your library.
,
, Tap two untapped creatures you control: Reveal a card from your hand or the top card of your library. If you reveal a creature card this way, put it onto the battlefield. Activate only during your turn.
Guide
Gameplan
Eladamri turns your battlefield into an engine: cast creatures off the top of your library for value, then use his tap ability to cheat big creatures directly into play by tapping two of your bodies. Flood the board with mana dorks and tokens early, then convert that wide board into free entrances for your biggest threats every turn.
Strengths
- Cheats expensive creatures onto the battlefield for free, ignoring mana costs and even casting restrictions
- Mono-green gives unmatched mana ramp and consistency to fuel a creature-heavy board
- Constant top-of-library access plus casting from the top smooths draws and grants card advantage
- Works perfectly with go-wide token strategies that supply tappers for the activated ability
Weaknesses
- The cheat-into-play ability requires Eladamri untapped plus two other untapped creatures, so it's vulnerable to board wipes and removal
- Activates only during your turn, limiting flexibility and reactive plays
- Mono-green struggles with non-creature interaction, especially against control and combo
- Heavily commander-dependent; losing Eladamri repeatedly slows the whole engine to a crawl
Key Cards
- Craterhoof Behemoth — The premier finisher to drop for free off Eladamri's ability, immediately turning your wide board into lethal damage.
- Apex Devastator — A massive payoff to cheat in, chaining four cascades for explosive value without paying twelve mana.
- Cryptolith Rite — Turns every creature into a mana source and an additional tapper, fueling repeated activations of Eladamri.
- Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger — A backbreaking creature you'd rather cheat in than hardcast, doubling your mana while taxing opponents.
- Quick Sliver — Demonstrates the flash-enabler effect, but more importantly green flash like Vivien's Arkbow lets you keep mana up for surprises.
- Earthcraft — Untaps creatures by tapping basics, generating extra fuel to repeatedly tap pairs of creatures for Eladamri's ability.
Upgrade Path
Add fast mana and untap enablers like Cryptolith Rite, Earthcraft, and Survival of the Fittest to maximize Eladamri activations, and lean into top-tier payoffs like Craterhoof Behemoth and Apex Devastator. Include creature tutors (Worldly Tutor, Fauna Shaman, Birthing Pod) to set up the top of your library, and protect Eladamri with Heroic Intervention and Lightning Greaves so your engine survives removal.
