General Ferrous Rokiric
The Commander
Hexproof from monocolored
Whenever you cast a multicolored spell, create a 4/4 red and white Golem artifact creature token.
Guide
Gameplan
Cast cheap multicolored spells to flood the board with 4/4 Golems, then turn that wide board sideways or pump it for a decisive swing. Rokiric is hard to remove thanks to hexproof from monocolored, so he keeps generating value every turn you chain gold cards. You play a midrange-aggro game built around quantity of multicolored permanents and spells.
Strengths
- Generates immediate 4/4 bodies with no setup once a multicolored spell resolves
- Hexproof from monocolored dodges the vast majority of single-color removal
- Snowballs board presence fast in go-wide aggro builds
- Two-color identity keeps the deck cheap and consistent
- Each gold spell is effectively a creature plus its normal effect
Weaknesses
- Multicolored removal and board wipes (Wrath of God, Vandalblast, etc.) blow up the whole plan
- Doesn't trigger off colorless or monocolored spells, restricting deckbuilding
- Relies on the commander staying alive to keep producing tokens
- Vulnerable to the gap before redeploying after a sweeper
- Limited card advantage in RW means topdecking after a board reset
Key Cards
- Boros Charm — Cheap multicolored spell that makes a Golem while protecting your whole board with indestructible.
- Showdown of the Skalds — Multicolored value engine that triggers a Golem, draws four cards, and pumps your team.
- Wear // Tear — A flexible split card whose multicolored half nets removal plus a Golem token.
- Assemble the Legion — Multicolored enchantment that snowballs tokens alongside your Golem swarm.
- Aurelia, the Warleader — Multicolored payoff that grants extra combat to crash your wide Golem board for lethal.
- Heroic Reinforcements — Cheap gold spell making a Golem while giving haste and an anthem for an immediate attack.
Upgrade Path
Maximize cheap multicolored spells (Boros Charm, Lightning Helix, Wear // Tear) so every turn yields a token, and add token doublers like Anointed Procession and Parallel Lives. Include payoffs such as Craterhoof Behemoth, Cathars' Crusade, and Aurelia for explosive finishes, plus protection like Teferi's Protection and Boros Charm to survive board wipes. Tighten the mana with Boros signets, fast lands, and Smothering Tithe to keep chaining gold spells.
