Gameplan
Mr. Orfeo turns one big attacker into a one-shot kill: each combat you double a creature's power, and with double strike or trample that math snowballs into lethal commander/general damage fast. Ramp into a beefy threat, swing, double its power, and convert that into a knockout—ideally with evasion or a second double-strike multiplier.
Strengths
- Repeatable, free power doubling every combat with no mana cost
- Jund colors give access to elite ramp, removal, and recursion
- Synergizes explosively with double strike and trample for one-shot kills
- Can double an opponent's or token creature too for flexible math
Weaknesses
- The doubled creature is a removal magnet—lose it and the engine stalls
- Power-only doubling does nothing for toughness or board presence
- Relies on connecting in combat, so blockers and fog effects shut it down
- Telegraphs your kill, inviting instant-speed interaction during attacks

Upgrade Path
Lean into double strike and trample enablers (Berserkers' Onslaught, Rancor, Embercleave) so the power doubling translates into unblockable lethal damage, and add protection like Heroic Intervention and Lightning Greaves to keep your key attacker alive. Tighten the mana base with fast ramp (Sol Ring, signets, Cultivate) to deploy threats earlier, and consider an infect package for the lowest-risk one-shot. Round it out with reanimation/recursion (Eternal Witness, Victimize) so removed threats come right back.
