Tori D'Avenant, Fury Rider
The Commander
Vigilance, trample
Whenever Tori D'Avenant attacks, all other attacking creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn. Other red attacking creatures you control gain trample until end of turn. Untap each other white attacking creature you control.
Guide
Gameplan
Tori is a Boros go-wide aggro commander: build a board of creatures, swing in, and let her attack trigger pump the whole team while untapping your white attackers so they can swing and still block. You apply relentless pressure across multiple turns, racing the table down with evasive, trampling beaters before slower decks set up.
Strengths
- Anthem-on-attack pump plus mass trample makes blocking math miserable for opponents
- Untapping white attackers gives pseudo-vigilance to your whole white team, letting you attack everyone and stay defended
- Vigilance and trample on a cheap 4-drop body that keeps pressure on
- Boros offers excellent equipment, anthems, and extra-combat support
Weaknesses
- Relies on having a wide board, so wraths and sweepers set you back hard
- Effects only trigger when Tori attacks, so removal or chump-blocking her blunts the deck
- No built-in card advantage; can run out of gas after a board wipe
- Two-color identity lacks easy ramp, recursion, and tutors of green/black
Key Cards
- Dolmen Gate — Lets you attack with everything risk-free since your attackers won't die in combat.
- Aurelia, the Warleader — Grants an extra combat to retrigger Tori and untap your white team for double swings.
- Adriana, Captain of the Guard — Stacks another attack-trigger anthem that scales with your wide board.
- Heroic Intervention — Protects your assembled board from the wraths and removal that prey on go-wide decks.
- Path of Ancestry — Knight tribal synergy fits the deck and the body's typeline.
Upgrade Path
Add token generators (Adeline, Hero of Bladehold) and anthems to widen and deepen the board, plus extra-combat enablers (Aurelia, Combat Celebrant) to double up on Tori's triggers. Include board-wipe insurance like Heroic Intervention, Boros Charm, and Flawless Maneuver, and improve the manabase with fast lands and rocks like Boros Signet and Arcane Signet to deploy threats faster.

Win Conditions

- ▸Overrun-style finishers like Felidar Retreat or Trumpet Blast amplifying the anthem
- ▸Wide token boards turning small creatures into lethal damage
- ▸Equipment-loaded evasive creatures carrying counters and pump
Archetypes
- Go-Wide Aggro — Her attack trigger pumps every other attacker, rewarding a flooded battlefield.
- Tokens — Cheap token swarms convert directly into +1/+1 trampling threats on attack.
- Knights Tribal — As a Human Knight she anchors a fast, aggressive Boros Knight build.
- Extra Combat — Untapping white attackers and added combats let you swing repeatedly each turn.
