Yenna, Redtooth Regent
The Commander
,
: Choose target enchantment you control that doesn't have the same name as another permanent you control. Create a token that's a copy of it, except it isn't legendary. If the token is an Aura, untap Yenna, then scry 2. Activate only as a sorcery.
Guide
Gameplan
Yenna turns your enchantments into an engine: tap her to copy a non-duplicate enchantment, and if it's an Aura you untap her, scry 2, and can copy again. You ramp into enchantments, deploy value Auras and powerful enchantments, then chain copies to snowball board state, card advantage, or game-ending value before swinging or comboing out.
Strengths
- Repeatable, free token-copy engine that generates enormous value over a few turns
- Aura copies untap Yenna, enabling near-infinite chains with the right pieces
- Deep GW enchantress support gives strong card draw and recovery
- Copies dodge the legend rule, so you can duplicate effects you normally couldn't
Weaknesses
- Sorcery-speed, tap-based ability is slow and easy to disrupt before it gets going
- Heavily reliant on the commander; removal or tax effects stall the whole plan
- Vulnerable to enchantment hate (Back to Nature, Aura Shards) wiping your engine
- No built-in evasion or interaction in the command zone
Key Cards
- Enchantress's Presence — Turns every enchantment and copy you make into a card, fueling the engine.
- Sterling Grove — Protects your enchantments and tutors a key piece, including combo Auras.
- Faith's Reward — Copying it isn't possible, but cheap protection and recursion keep the engine alive against board wipes.
- Three Visits — Cheap ramp that accelerates Yenna onto the battlefield a turn early.
- Smothering Tithe — A non-Aura enchantment worth copying for explosive Treasure-fueled mana.
- Sanctum Weaver — Scales mana with your enchantment count to power multiple activations per turn.
Upgrade Path
Add untap enablers and mana-positive Auras (Utopia Sprawl, Wild Growth, Fertile Ground) plus a mana-doubler to enable infinite-mana loops with Yenna's Aura untap. Tighten the mana base with more two-mana ramp and enchantment tutors (Enlightened Tutor, Idyllic Tutor), and include protection like Heroic Intervention and Teferi's Protection to survive wipes. Finally, add a clean infinite-mana payoff such as Walking Ballista or Finale of Devastation to convert your engine into a guaranteed win.
